Welcome to the website of the German-American Heritage Foundation. With a coast-to-coast representation and a network of clubs throughout the country, we are the only national umbrella organization representing Americans of German-speaking ancestry in the Nation’s Capital.
We’re dedicated to promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of almost 45 million Americans of German-speaking ancestry in the United States. We help you learn about and connect with the many achievements of German immigrants to the United States! From hot dogs and beer to steel cables and aviation (Boeing was founded by Wilhelm Böing), the creation of the kindergarten and the beauty of the Christmas tree, Germans have left their indelible mark on American society.
